This afternoon’s session of Prime Minister’s Questions was, for me, the best of the year so far. David Cameron was undoubtedly on peak form as he ravaged Labour’s complete disregard toward the Armed Forces and had to spell out for Gordon Brown that defence spending under the Conservative government decreased as, “Under the Conservatives, we won the Cold War!”

Clegg’s performance was forgettable as ever, but find me a Labourite who can claim a win from today’s session and I’ll find you someone as far in denial as the government front bench when it comes to their thirteen year record. Dave laid the backbenchers to waste as his talk of senior military figures disputing Brown’s Chilcot evidence produced heckles of, “Because they’re Tories!” to which DC hollered at Brown about his, “tribalist, divisise government.” Burn.

He's got his eye on you, Gordon...

Of course Ashcroft would be the dead horse that Brown would attempt to flog, but to no avail. DC sidestepped this old hat, hypocritical debate and hit home with the point that Brown couldn’t stand up to his backbenchers, and that he wouldn’t take responsibility for a massive underestimation of the cost of the wars (despite a Freedom of Information request reply showing otherwise). Burn x 2.

Cameron’s obviously been saving up the good stuff for when the Conservatives were at their weakest in the polls (the sketchy past two weeks) and will no doubt be boosted by this prolific display of real conservative and patriotic ideologies. Brown better watch out- DC’s got his sights set on Labour and is going in for the kill…

P.S – I wonder if Bercow’s throat hurts after all the calls for order.

Furthermore, it appears when the story broke (and I use ‘broke’ in the loosest sense) about the ‘YBF madrasa’ as architectural expert Robert Booth wrote on Saturday- Mr. Cutts jumped ship from the Conservative Future regional press team as he feared that people in the party had… DIFFERING VIEWS TO HIS OWN. Dum dum dum!

Perhaps young James would feel at home in a different political party, one that enforces it’s members to believe certain things and never deviate from the party line. Perhaps James would feel at home in the Labour Party! I hear @Kerry4Mp is accepting applications now, but do make sure to be completely bland and in line with the leader.

Can't spell "Thatcher"?

Despite James’ recent resignation from his press position, he gave a comment to the Guardian which sends shivers down the spine of the individual in me.

“Who needs to be trained by these people? Their position on the NHS is against everything David Cameron has been saying.”

Well James, for a start – perhaps YOU need to be trained by them. They don’t train in policy, nor on the NHS – they train in MEDIA HANDLING. Something which you don’t seem to do too well. Who said that because one or two executive directors of YBF had certain views, that you had to have them too? Fool.

By the reaction of some twats Twitterers, you’d have thought that the public was outraged at the Young Britons’ Foundation. In conjunction with all the squillions Labour took from the unions Ashcroft, the Guardian’s ‘exposé’ of YBF was destined to change the election.

But nobody followed the Guardian in attacking YBF. Well, I guess that’s not quite true. It’s also been picked up by Islam Online, which teaches you all about how great Sharia is. Hated by the Guardian, Jon Cruddas, and Islamists? I think Donal will take that, actually.

Other newspapers aren’t jumping on the anti-YBF bandwagon, because YBF represents exactly what the public believes. Radicals for wanting to reform the NHS? 63% of people think it requires urgent reform. Radicals for fighting against global warming hysteria? More people consider it exaggerated than proven. Something for the Red Tories to consider.

Next time the Guardian tries a hatchet job on someone, it’ll take more than left-wing extremist Jon Cruddas to discredit them.

Don’t worry, this isn’t some housekeeping notice. At least not the bad kind. The good news is that you now have a fundamental human right to be given the Internet so you can access to Keep Right Online. The bad news is that it’s bull (Ed: this ‘right’, not KRO!).

Supposedly, four-fifths of people around the world think that accessing the Internet is a ‘fundamental human right’. Not the ability to access the Internet if you pay for it, or the ability to read what you find online, but the provision of the Internet by the government. Like I said, bull.

The BBC inadvertently says it best:

Countries such as Finland and Estonia have already ruled that access is a human right for their citizens

Yes, that’s right, ‘a human right for their citizens’. Just citizens of two countries? Not for everyone, then? What’s it called when a right isn’t possessed by all humans? Ah, right, not a human right. Well said.

We have a right not to have our persons attacked, our freedom constrained, or our property stolen. That’s it. ‘Giving’ any more rights than that starts taking away from one of those core values and is inherent unjust (Ed: thanks, Nozick!). It is the treatise of tyranny, and, as it happens, the treatise of New Labour. Funny that.

Late last night, lefty conspirators hit that “SEND” button on their Macbooks (Ed: Don’t YOU use a Macbook?) and went to the presses on this deeply embarrassing expose on the Young Britons’ Foundation- Britain’s young free-market training organisation. The problem is, it wasn’t embarrassing for YBF. It was a yet another non-story in the long line of Grauniad pseudo-journalistic bias.

Well, KeepRightOnline aren’t even gonna call bullshit on this story, or this one – for the sheer fact that the statements made are simply example of the leftist bias in the media rather than any qualified fact (bear in mind they got Prezza commenting on this story, so we can see how desperate they got).

For example:

“Tory parliamentary candidates have undergone training by a rightwing group” - Tories? Right of centre? Noooooooo!!!

“The links are likely to be deeply embarrassing for the Tory leader, David Cameron” - Not last time we checked?

“Blaney’s heroes are Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan and he encourages his young charges to hark back to their free-market, libertarian, low-tax ideals.” - Argghh, low taxes?! Violent extremist, that Reagan was!

The list goes on, but no doubt Robert Booth of The Guardian and previously, the dizzying heights of ‘Building Design’ (the architecture newspaper) will be let down by his advertisement for YBF and Blaney, which as was reported this morning, has generated a £10,000 donation overnight. Oops!

So plenty have said it already today, but allow me to reiterate: #guardianfail

Oh and Mr. Booth, try not to take stock images from Getty to illustrate your point in future. If you need archived shots from YBF or CPAC, I’m sure someone would be willing to provide them for a couple of grand. After all, that’s not much to spend for your piece to save you a bit of face, eh?

President Reagan (alongside our great Maggie) defeated communism, tore down ‘that wall’ and brought delight to millions of theatre goers across the world (this is not a complete list of his acheivements). And yet, the United States is yet to afford one of their greatest Presidents with a spot on their currency. Ludicrous! Until now, that is…

Republican Patrick McHenry announced that he will introduce a measure that would replace Ulysses Grant’s face with Ronald Reagan’s on the $50 bill, just in time for the 40th president’s 100th birthday next February. A 2005 Wall Street Journal survey of scholars placed Reagan at No. 6 and Grant at No. 29 in terms of great Presidents. “Every generation needs its own heroes,” McHenry also said. “One decade into the 21st century, it’s time to honor the last great president of the 20th and give President Reagan a place beside Presidents Roosevelt and Kennedy.” (Franklin Roosevelt’s face currently appears on the dime while John F. Kennedy’s image is on the half-dollar).
In the years since Reagan’s death, GOP lawmakers have also considered, though abandoned, legislation placing Reagan on the $10 bill, in place of Alexander Hamilton, and on the $20 bill, in place of Andrew Jackson – KeepRightOnline firmly backs placing Reagan on one of the denominations of currency in the United States – specifically the $10 bill.

A round up of spring forum follows later today, I promise. I’d like to look at everyone else’s impressions first and so far, I guess you could say ’so good’. I like to think I get around quite a bit at these things so I’m gonna offer some insights into the various areas of Spring Forum, from atmosphere of the general delegation, the buzz around the bar, Hannan’s Tea Party, impressions of the Shad-Cab, the press area, journos and more. (Ed: And the speech, don’t forget the speech!) But that’ll take a while to articulate so in the mean time I decided to parody the front page of The Grauniad this morning. Who’s more unsure about who?

Update: Also, we’ve Wordled David Cameron’s speech from Spring Forum – seems his emphasis is on people, country, think and going. In contrast, Gordon Brown’s speech for Welsh Conference this weekend concentrates heavily on people, Wales, Labour, jobs and government. Make of it what you will…
